Sony vaio laptop no os after bios update8/23/2023 ![]() No change in the entries.When I booted using Ultimate Boot CD 3.3, and selected "Boot from 1st Hard Drive" -> no problem.This seems to be some sort of BIOS glitch, but which the new BIOS hasn't resolved. So, I flashed the BIOS to the latest version, from the Sony site. I experimented with giving priority to the 2 Diskette drive entries. 8 weeks postpartum no period not breastfeeding still no period. cannot guarantee stability, functionality, and performance across regular OS updates. Note that the hard drive is recognized elsewhere in the BIOS(Primary slot). For administrators who are familiar with BIOS and UEFI settings. I was prompted to apply an update to the BIOS on my VAIO, after I did this it wont start now The model number on the back of my VAIO is SVF152C29M, although if I press the ASSIST button and go into the BIOS setup it reports the machine name as SVF1521C5E, not sure why that is differe. After reformatting, I did a 'fdisk /mbr' and then reinstalled XP. ![]() Yesterday, I decided to fix this, since he wanted to reformat the drive anyway. The way to get around this is to insert any bootable CD, and do nothing while "Press Any key to boot from CD" flashes across, after which it properly boots from the HDD. One fine day, a couple of summers back, my roommate powered on his computer, a Sony Vaio PCG-F590 only to find a solitary "Operating System Not Found" message, with no recognizable cause or trauma. ![]()
